The most common method is the Allis Maneuver:
- Procedural Sedation
- Assistant stabilizes pelvis by pushing down on anterior superior iliac spines (push down onto bed)
- Flex the knee and hip 90 degrees
- Provide axial traction on flexed thigh inferiorly (best done with second assistant)
- Rotate femur laterally, then medially, until hip reduces
