Highlights from #AASTAnnualMeeting - Changing mortality Rates

The group at Stanford University analyzed several databases to determine Trauma Related Mortality Rates over a 9 year period.  They showed that  MVC-related mortality rates have decreased by 6%.  Firearm-related mortality rates have remained steady.  Interestingly, fall-related mortality rates have increased by 46%.  They attribute this to the 9.3% increase in population over 70 years of age.
